Who We Are

Darcie Deneal, Photographer and Founder

As a mother of two and working as a pediatric nurse, I was living an ordinary life. But all that changed on September 1, 1998 when my 17-year-old son Jeremy died in a car accident. My life was changed forever. From that moment on, the photographs that tell how he lived would be the only way I could see my son again.

My desire is to photograph those who are facing life's challenges; to create memories of the people we love; to celebrate their life.

Martha LaFata, Photographer

I was a mother of three young daughters when I was widowed many years ago, so I understand what it feels like to grieve. But losing a child has to be the most heart wrenching experience. Providing these families with photographs is one small thing I can do for them, and being able to use my photography in this way is very gratifying.

Debbie Windus, Photographer

After photographing just a few of these families, I began to understand how meaningful these portraits would be for them and others who are going through similar challenges. Creating memories for families who might have such a short time together is a gift for them and me.
